In Romania, three out of ten children (28.2%, EUROSTAT, 2021) are affected by severe material and social deprivation.

Many families in Romania face problems such as the risk of separation, untreated illnesses, lack of minimum social assistance payments, violence, early pregnancies, illness, school dropout and illiteracy.

Supporting the entire family of the child at risk is essential. Families in economic difficulty, often marked by hardship and deprivation, need support and guidance to overcome daily obstacles. That’s why we offer counseling and parenting education programs for parents, where they learn how to embrace their parenting roles and create a safe home.

Through these programs, parents acquire essential skills, learning how to communicate effectively, understand and support their children:
