ABOUT US
Who we are?
We are an NGO from Bacău county, in N-E Romania, close to the border with Ukraine. We work with people from vulnerable social groups to improve their quality of life, increase their autonomy and enhance their prospects. Most of them are children and growing up in a stable environment is key for their development. For this, we provide them with educational, social and psychological assistance, to help them remain in their home environment.
Help us change their lives for the better!
We offer day programmes for children in vulnerable situations, preventing family and school dropout. Through care, education, recreation and psychological assistance we help them to become self-determined adults. After graduating from our program, tailored for primary and secondary school pupils, we provide scholarships to support their journey throughout high schools or vocational education.
To help them overcome difficulties and improve relationships with their children, we provide counseling and parental education for the caretakers of our pupils. We further support them to enhance their standards of living and we provide emergency aid on occasion. For children, having a stable home is key; to prevent neglect and abandonment, we provide support and solutions to families at risk.
We provide support to senior volunteers participating in our intergenerational programs. Through these activities, seniors feel valued and maintain their well-being by interacting with children. We are grateful for their involvement and valuable contribution to our community development.

Our Programmes
We prevent children’s separation from their family
In Romania, one out of 10 of children are separated from their families and placed in protection centers, even if they have a natural family. This separation can have devastating consequences on children’s emotional and psychological health. We provide support to prevent such separations, thus promoting the stability and well-being of children in their own families.
We support education and professional development
Through educational programmes and mentoring, we facilitate access to education and reduce school dropouts, so that children and young people in our centers can build a self-determined future.
We educate, advise and provide self-development contexts for parents
For the parents of the children in our day care centers, we offer specialized counseling and parental education programs. These programs teach them how to embrace their parenting roles and create a safe, stable family environment for their children.
We promote mental health and the development of social skills
We offer the children and young people in our day care centers the support and resources necessary for harmonious integration into society and for building a stable and fulfilling future. Through our programs, children can learn to manage stress, express their emotions and develop problem-solving skills.
