YANA Foundation Romania received today, June 21, a visit of the board members of the YANA Charitable Foundation from Liechtenstein. The official reception took place at 10.30 a.m., at the Heidi’s House Day Care Center in loc. Valea Seacă, com. Nicolae Balcescu.

The event was attended by Anna Maria D’Hulster, the new President of the YANA Charitable Foundation and Hansjörg Frick, member of the Board of Directors of the YANA Charitable Foundation since its establishment, representatives of county and local authorities, sponsors, collaborators and partners, media representatives.

"At YANA, children from disadvantaged backgrounds find comfort and inspiration. In the foundation's three centers, we provide educational activities to strengthen the integration of YANA children into their school communities, creating a nurturing environment for their growth. But in addition to educational support, we also foster lifelong self-confidence by helping young people acquire essential skills, thereby supporting their school journey and also mentoring them professionally so that they become well-integrated adults in the communities they are and will be part of."

Anna Maria D’Hulster, the new President of the YANA Charitable Foundation, has worked as an international management consultant.
Between 2002 and 2012, she held several senior management positions, including Managing Director, at Baloise Group, one of the largest insurance companies in Switzerland.
He was then Director of Insurance at swissQuant Group and Secretary General of the Geneva Association (founded in 1973 as the International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics).
Thanks to his international experience, he adapts effortlessly within different administrative structures and acts as a bridge builder between Liechtenstein and Romania.

Hansjörg Frick has been a board member of the YANA Charitable Foundation since its inception.
For 20 years, he was a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, heading several ministries.
He was also Prime Minister.
As Honorary Consul of Romania in Liechtenstein, Hansjörg Frick helps the foundation to establish important contacts.

The purpose of this working visit was to familiarize the members of the delegation with the working procedures and the way of operation of the day care centers, given the major role they play in the rural communities where they are located, where they help and support more than 100 children from vulnerable families every day.

The event opened with a welcome address by Gabriela Mateiu, President of YANA Romania.
Anna Maria D’Hulster, Hansjörg Frick and Corina Ciunae, former child beneficiary of the YANA Foundation, currently a student of the National Catholic College “Sf.
Iosif”.
Corina, who is fascinated by royal and princely families, spoke to the guests about Prince Michael von und zu Liechtenstein’s close kinship with the Romanian royal family, being a second cousin of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown.
Towards the end of the program, an artistic moment was presented by the 100 children from the 3 centers of our foundation, under the guidance of the social worker from YANA House, Clementina Bejan.

The event ended with a cocktail where the guests had the opportunity to exchange impressions and share opinions about the possibilities of further and long-term support for the activities of our Foundation, which plays an essential role in the community.
